MADE IN AUSTRALIA THE. FIEST STEEL KAIL. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received January 13, 9.20 p.in.) SYDNEY, January 13. The first steel rail made in this country has been turned out at Hosking and Co.'s Lithgow works. The company has secured a Government contract to supply rails, and has erected an up-to-date rolling mill for this purpose.
