The State Assembly negatived Mr Wade's motion for discussing as a matter of urgency the proposed referenda for alteration of the Federal Constitution. The House passed an item of .£ISOO to purchase an annuity of ,£IOO for the widow of the late Hr E. W. O'Sullivan,' in recognition of his service to the State. Mr O'Sullivan was for five years Minister of Works in the Lyne and See Governments, and subsequently Minister of Lands in the Waddell Ministry. The Loan and Appropriation Bills were put through; In the Council, at the Vice-President's suggestion, the Electoral Bill was held over till next session. The Appropriation and other 'Bills were passed. ■ Both Houses have adjourned over the holidays.
