A BRITISH SCHEME TO BE INCORPORATED IN NEST BUDGET. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received. December 23, 10.5 p.m.) PARIS, December 23. The Socialist newspaper “I/Humanito" publishes an interview with Hr Lloyd George, in which the Chancellor of the Exchequer criticised Republican journals for sympathising with the enemies of English democracy. He asked whether the Democrats of Franco had forgotten the Francophil© of the past or his party, and referred to his pro-Boer attitude. Speaking of the future, Mr Lloyd George declared: "We have had enough of being the plaything of iho aristocrats. The Lords' veto must be abolished. The Government will continue to strive for the limitation of armaments, because Militarism and Imperialism arc great enemies of human progress." He said a measure providing for national assurance against sickness and unemployment was being prepared. Ho had secured financial resources enabling such provision to bo incorporated in tho next Budget. It would cost .£18,000,000. annually.
