CLOSING HOURS OF SHOPS
The City Council last evening decided to attach its certificate to a requisition fixing the, closing hours of shops occupied bretailersof ironmongery, hardware, crockery and tinware at 6 p.m. on Mondays, Tnes. days, Thursdays and Fridays, 1 p.m. on the statutory closing day, and 9 p.m. on the remaining day of the week, it having been reported that the requisition represented a majority of tho occupiers' of ehops of the description mentioned in the city of Wellington. ,
