, THURSDAY, DECEMBER 1. (Before Mr W. G. Riddell, S.M) INDECENCY. William Cunningham pleaded guilty to committing a grossly indecent act in Abel Smith street on November 30lh. and was sentenced to twenty-one days' imprisonment. DRUNKENNESS. Drunkenness was admitted, by John Reed, who had thirty-four previous convictions against hia name. Ho was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment, a prohibition order to be issued against lam. For a similar offence .Tames Wallace was sentenced to twenty-one days’ imprisonment, a prohibition order to bo issued against him. TROUBLE OVER A MILK ROUND. A. Holt and J. Brotherton, milk vendors, sued D. Reidy, expressman, of Wellington, -for £3l As 6d for milk supplied. Defendant counter-claimed for .£SO, damages sustained through plaintiffs ceasing to supply milk and occasioning loss of business. Mr C. R. Dix appeared for plaintiffs, and Mr K. Kirkcaldie for defendantAfter a hearing lasting most of the afternoon, his Worship intimated that lie would reserve his decision for a week. . (Before Dr McArthur, S.M.) CLAIM FOR WAGES; Richard Patrick Flanagan claimed £ls 18s Ad from Thomas Patrick Lyons, cab proprietor, of Wellington, as salary from October Ist to December . 1810. Defendant counter-claimed for 0) £4O, profit on horses purchased by plaintiff w-liilo in the employ of defendant and retained by plaintiff as hi.s own property; (2) £l4, stabling and keep of horses for seven days; (3) £3O. profit on the sale of a cab- by plaintiff while in the service of defendant; and (1) on other alternative grounds in regard to transactions in horses and cabs. Mr Blair appeared for plaintiff, and Mr Maclrell for defendant. . Plaintiff’s case was that according to the agreement under which ho worked as defendant’s manager the engagement was terminable by three months notice on cither side. On September Bth, 1910, plaintiff gave defendant notice of his intention to terminate the engagement, giving as his grounds, defendant’s interference with the management of the business. Defendant later gent to plaintiff a notice terminating his engagement, before the expiration of the stipulated three months. . 1 After hearing partial evidence the case was adjourned till 2.-30 p-m. to-day. RESERVED JUDGMENT. Reserved judgment was given for plaintiff in the case in which Susan Lamberg sued Albert Selvanius Collyer for £lO 17s 2d, being damages computed at double the rent of premises belonging to plaintiff and occupied by defendant after his lease had expired. Costs were also allowed. ■ Security for appeal was fixed at £lO 10s. ■ Mr Wedde. appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr Anderson, for defendant. DEFAULT CASES!
