HELP TO RIVER-BOARDS
The Eiver Boards Amendment Bill was Eommifeked, when the , Attorney-General moved to strike out clause 4, extending bo two years the time in which claims for damages may he made. - He urged that the law as it stood afforded ample security to any person whose property might be injured and that the extension ■put in by the House would in many ■oases bo oppressive to local bodies. The motion was agreed to and the Ball reported - with--several other slight amendments.
