A conference of the Manchester exo-ou-tivo of the spinners and card-room hands resolved that tho masters* proposal to make a 5 per cent, reduction in wages was unjustifiable, and acceptance of any reduction could not bo recommended.

The masters will give notice of the reduction on May sth. There are 16,000 operatives involved in the reduction.
