WEDDINGS

•CHAPMAN—BENGE. The Wesley Church, Taranaki street, was well filled yesterday af torr.*oon, when Miss Rao (Rachel) Bongo, only daughter of Mr and Mrs R. 1). Benge, was married to Mr Thos. J. Chapman. The Rev. Serpcll officiated. Mr C. Chapman was best man, and. Messrs H. Chapman and O. Bong© groomsmen. The bride was given away by her brother, and wore a handsome cream charmouso empire frock, nvitli a draped fichu of real Maltese lace, also a veil and orange blossoms, and she carried a shower bouquet. Misses Phllp, Bongo and Pole acted as bridesmaids, all frocked alike in champagne ninon empire frocks, built over white glace. They wore large brown drawn silk mushroom hats, and carried bouquets of cactus dahlias in red, gold and bronze shades. Miss Philp and Miss Benge received cameo rings, and Miss Pole a pendant from the bridegroom. * The church had been prettily decorated by the girl friends Jof the bride, and the ceremony was performed under a floral wedding boll. Afterwards, a reception was held ip Qodber's rooms, _in Cuba street, where a dainty' wedding breakfast was laid, the tables being artistically decorated with flowers. Mrs Benge, mother of the bride, wore a black brocaded silk frock, and a black hat with plumes. Sho carried a bouquet of mauve flowers.

Amongst those present •wore Mr and Mrs C. 11. Izard. Mr and Mrs W. H. P. Barber, Mrs Wright, Mrs Hales,; Mr and Mrs Richardson, Mr and Mrs Lemon, Mr and. Mrs Ribs-on, Mr and Mrs Dolby, Mr and Mrs Smith, Miss Bradley. Mrs and Miss Harriot, Mr, Mrs and Miss Pole, Mrs Cndby, Mrs Loveday, Mrs Benge, Mr and Mias Dodd, Mrs and the Misses Browne. . Mr and Mrs Chapman left in.a taxi-cab for the north train. The bride travelled in a brown tailor-made ooat and shirt, and brown hat finished with a brown plume. HARDING-LEONAED. SPECIAL TO TUB TIMES.** MAStTERTON, Eebruary 9. At the residence of Mr E. A. Collier, Wrlgloy street, this afternoon, Mr William Harding, second son of Mr E. Harding, of Masterton, was married to Miss Emily L. Leonard, daughter of Mr Leonard, of Nelson, and niece of Mr and Mrs B. A. Collier. The bride was given away by her uncle, and s was dressed in a gown of cream delaine, made in empire style, with lace trimmings. Miss Molly Collier was bridesmaid, dressed In a white muslin frock! Mr iH. Morton _ was bast man. Mr and Mrs Harding left subsequently for the south, where the honeymoon is ’to bo spent. ‘
