Amongst this month's weddings in London, one of interest to Now, Zealanders has boon that of Miss Violet Julia Louise, the second daughter of Mr Henderson J, Twigg, Pertano. Grange., Petane (Hawke's Bay), and Dr Winston St. A. St, John, erf Derwent House, Derby. The ceremony, which took place at St. Peter's, Qranley Gardens., on December 18th, was performed by the Rev. RoJlo St. J. Hovell, aocn of the late Rev. de f-exdt Hovell, Dean of Waiapu, New ealand, and at the reception held afterwards, at Bailey's Hotel, several New Zealand guests were present, among them being Mrs Stephen .Walter, Mrs de Berrlt Hovell, Miss Merton), Mr Keith Williams, Rev. Wilfred Williams, Lady and Mias Moyra, and Miss Ida Campbell. The bride, who was given away by her brother. Dr G. W. Twigg, wore an exquisite gown of, white orepe meteor, trimmed with Brussels lace, and a veil ox old Brussels She carried a sheaf of white lilies. . § The bridesmaids, the Misses Mackenzie. St. John, Hoald, Kinahan, Turner, and Caron dim, wore bine moire frocks; veiled in ninon, and carried largo bouquets of violets. On their heads they had dainty canrick-ma-oross laco caps, gifts from the bridegroom. The little .page was Stephen Ewart Walter, a grandson of Mr J. H. Coleman, of Hawke's Bay. , • . After the reception, Dr and Mrs Twigg left for London, where the first days of the , honeymoon were spent, afterwards going on to Torquay and Cheltenham.
