HOKITIKA HARBOUR WORKS
PBESS ASSOCIATION. HOKITIKA, February 9. Mr Toogood, of Singapore, waV appointed engineer to the Hokitika Harbour Board to carry out works in connection witii the proposed improvements to the harbour, at a meeting of tho board held to-night,' subject- toan arrangement regarding certain details. The works to bo undertaken involve an expenditure of £-10,000, and aro_ in accordance with the recommendations of tho late Sir John Coode and Mr A.rthnr Bell, C.E., of Auckland. Tho appointment carries a salary of £SOO per anpnm, and private practice is permitted.
