COUNCIL MEETING. Tlio meeting of the council of tlit Society of Accountants was continued at the Chamber of Ooinmerco yesterday morning, Mr Poter Burr, president, prosiding. All members of tho council w-ero present, with the exception of Mt Jtoberton, of Auckland, and Mr- Green, of JDunedin. . The greater part of tho day wap devoted to a discussion on the proposed. regulations, and the members of the council made a number of suggestions to lie executive committee, who have the drafting of tho regulations in hand. It was decided in reference to tho 1310 examination that no partial passes be granted at such examination, but that partial passes granted in 1909 can bo completed in 1910. A. discussion took place on the question of the amending Bill now,,before tho House, and introduced by the lion. O. Samuel. It was decided that tho matter bo left in the hands of the legislative committee with power to act. The session concluded about i p.m. when, on the resolution of Mr Ott. of Invcrcargill, the appreciation of members of the council for the manner in. which tho president had conducted the business was orderei .to bo recorded.
