The Mana-watu Show commences tomorrow. Last year Queensland produced 29,000,0001 b of butter and 13,000,0001 b of cheese. Lambs are coming forward in large numbers in Victoria, and the quality Is said to be good. . Donations for sheep classes at the Horowhenua A. and P. Show include A 3 3s each from Messrs P. S. MoEae, John Davies, ami H. J. Richards. During 1908 Queensland exported 10,178 horses, principally to Asia. The authorities are pointing out the danger to the horse-breeding industry by the export of so many mares.

For the first time for four or five years past the Gear Meat Company will this year be represented in the fat cattle classes at the Manawatu Show. Eleven bullocks have been entered, all oti the grass, none of them being stall or artificially fed. The bullocks are stated to bo exceptionally fine animals.
