PROGRESSIVE CHEESEMAKERS

Yesterday several Wairarana cheesemakers visited Wellington to sea their cheese graded and discuss their work with the experts. The party included Messrs J. Adamson, manager of the Peatherston company; T. Saxelby, manager at Belvedere; T. Irvine, manager at Greytown; and J. Cooke, first assistant at Dalefield. This visit, which is made frequently during the season, shows the keen interest Wairarapa cheesemakers take in their work, especially as they have to pay the expenses of the trip out of their own pockets. As it happened, only the Peatherston and Greytown consignments were to hand. The former was graded at 92, the latter 90.
