THEATRE ROYAL. The programme of moving pictures which will continue to be presented at the Theatre Royal during the remainder of this week, and which on Saturday evening was so well received, attracted a good audience last night. Most of the film, *hown differ largely from those which have previously been exhibited. There are fewer of those "chasing pictures,” which are undeniably artificed, and more of-scenes from life, which are as real as they are interesting. The “show” is admirable in every respect, and the audience quite appreciated its manifold attractions. "THE GREAT WORLD OP LONDON.” At the Opera House to-morrow evening Mr William Anderson will commence his New Zealand tour with the sensational drama “The Great World of London.” This play has tho distinction of being played by five different companies at present in London and the English provinces. One sensation in the play is a murder on a train whilst travelling at express speed. Other fine settings are the Waterloo bridge scene, the Salvation Army shelter home, etc. There is ample opportunity for the artists to show their ability, as there are ten powerful acting parts as well as a number of character sketches. The season ‘is limited to sixteen nights. The plan is now open at the Dresden. PHYSICAL TRAINING SCHOOL. At the Opera House to-night the Wellington Physical Training School is holding its annual display, under tho direction of Instructor Dovoy. About 300 are taking part in the display, which will include Swedish drill, deep breathing, club swinging, figure marching, and many excellent exercises showing the advantages to be obtained by physical culture. Patrons are reminded to book seats at the Dresden, as the committee expect a full house.
