PROPERTY SALES
Messrs J. H. Bethuno and Co. held n property auction at the rooms yesterday afternoon, when there was a large attendance. Properties were sold under instructions from the Registrar of the Supreme Court as under:— „ Freehold land with an area, of 31.8 perches, Bridge street. Lower riutt, with fiix-roomed dwelling, Mi* Mackenzie, ns agent, .£450. - Freehold land with an area of 33.7 perches, Bridge street, Lower Hutt, with six-roomed dwelling, Mr MacKenzie, as agent, .£450. Freehold land with an area of 87.7 perches. Bridge street, Lower Hutt, with six-roomed dwelling, Mr Mackenzie, as agent, JE4SO. Freehold land with an area of 24.5 perches, Derwent street, Island Bay, with six-roomed dwelling and out-buildings, Mr 11. St. J. Bcere, -C650. Freehold laud with an area of 18.2 perches. Kibble street. Island Bay, with live-rooinod dwelling and out-buildings, Mr K. St. J. Beero, .£425. Freehold land, with an area of 24 nerches. White’s line, Alicetowu, with five-roomed dwelling and out-buildings, Mr E. St. J. Beero, £375. Freehold land with an area of 33.9 perches. West street. Alicetown, with five-roomed dwelling and out-buildings, Mr E. J. Piercoy, .£440. Three sections fronting Matai road, Hataitai, were submitted, but not reaching the reserves were passed in, and are now in the hands or the auctioneers for private sale.
UPPER HUTT. Now that the Upper Hutt has been included in the railway suburban area, with the advantage of additional trains and specially reduced rates tor travelling there, the sale of lands in that township will ooubtless command special attention from buyers after suburban sections. The Te Eeinga Estate, situated in tho heart of the township, and within only a few minutes’ walk from’ the railway station, will be submitted to auction by Messrs T. Kennedy Macdonald, Limited, at their Exchange Land Mart nest Wednesday night, at 7.30 o’clock. The lots, of which there are 123, are to be submitted at upset prices, which range frem £2o per section, and which are detailed on the lithographic plans to be obtained from tho auctioneers. Tho terms of sale are specially liberal, viz., £2 10s and £o deposit on each lot, according to size of saine, with like payments as instalments on each lot every three months, until half of the purchase money is paid, the balance remaining for four years. The auctioneers, in the lengthy advertisement appearing, direct special attention to several matters,' viz., the removal of the public school buddings to new grounds of three acres close to Te Eeinga, the early completion of the new post office, which, together with the new recreation grounds, are within a short distance from Te Eeinga, and the fact that the rates on the estate sections are only Id in the ill. ,
