IN DREAMS.
Ofttimes in dreams I tread a wondrous region, Where smile the tender blossoms that I knew When hopes,, desires, and fancies came, a legion. And 1 had also you. Now in my dreams I, also tread strange places. Gardens all bloomless, birds passed out of view, ■ . * Haunted by sad, and wan, and lonely faces, V Because I have not you. Yet would I not be robbed of memory, laying Her lean white hand on places once so Lo, in the very dream the winds kecx> saying— • "Beiov’d, I once had you!”
