WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION. The weekly meeting of the manage, ment committee of the Wellington Football Association was held last night. The Wellington Hookey Association wag granted a ground at Miramar for tho coming season on condition that it is vacated when required for football. A letter from Mr "F, G. Bolton, suggesting that the association should unite with other sports bodies to take action, in regard to obtaining theHutt Park fa? sports, was referred to the grounds committee. Permission was granted the T.M.C.A. to play matches against the Hasting* and Napier Clubs at Hastings at Easter, REFEREES' CLTTB. ANNUAL 1 MEETING. The thirteenth annual meeting of the Wellington Referees' Club was held last evening. The report expressed regret at the death during last season of Mr W. J. Hamilton. The season had been a moßt successful one. Regret was expressed that more players do not become referees when ttmv give up the game. Nine new members were elected. Mr W. Auld was appointed chairman for the ensuing season, and Mr H. Waters secretary.
It was decided to ask the Wellington Football Association to notify referees every week for which matches they will bo required, and where they are to bo plavcd. The secretary was instructed to ask tho W.F.A. to change the name of the club to the Wellington Referees' Association.
Messrs H. Godber, B. S. Salmon, and H. Waters were elected an appointment committee. Messrs H. A. V. Lyle, H. Godber, B. S. Salmon and H. Waters were appointed a committee to consider the question of altering the rales of the club.
