MAKARA COUNTY COUNCIL
A meetine of the Makara County Council was held on Saturday morning. Pi'erjent • Messrs J. H. Hawkins (chairman). J. H. Haggerty, S. Bryant, F. T. Moore, J. It. Eastwood and G. Monk. F. Grear wrote protesting against excessive and unlawful foes imposed by the ranger in connection with the impounding of a horse belonging to him. No action taken. , t It was decided to obtain 200 yards of unbroken metal from Neahauranßa quarrv. to bo delivered at Ponrua ndme at te per yard. It was also decided to accept Mr Clark’s offer to supply metal at tire Ncafiauronga road at 2s per yard up to 100 yards. Authority was also given for the obtaining of metal for other roads in the county. . The secretary was authorised to pay the levies due to tlio Wellington and Wurarapa Charitable Aid and Hospital Trustees as follow Charitable Aid .£B2 12s 2d, Hospital <£23 2s Gel.
