To move bees now means considerable loss, and at least one beekeeper says he might just as well kill tho lot straight away, and he intends to do it." . , , , , The position is that beekeepers were given to the end of March to transfer their bees from bos to frame hives, consequently those who have not done this are liable under the Act; but the Act will not be harshly administered. There is, however, absolutely no excuse for beekeepers, failing to comply with the new and necessary regulations m regard to combating ton! brood, as six months' notice was given of the requirement to provide frame hives, and the notice has been widely disseminated by tho city and rural press.
