The Patoa Shipping Company's steamr>r Arapawa, now* under order to no hui 11: by John Fullerton and Co., ot Pairdcv, is to ho fitted with triple oxpansiou ontf inefl, and will bo faster than any of tho present Patoa tractors. I lie Arapawa is expected to be ready to sail in September, and will corno to New Zealand via Capetown or Durban and Australia. MAMARI'S LOADING POETS. Tho Shaw, Savill and Albion Comcany's steamer Manmri, at present loading for London in tho South, will not rail at Clishorne and Napier as previously intended. The Mamari is to leave i'ioton to-morrow for Wellington. iho vessel will proceed from this port to I.yttolton, and will arrive back at Wellington on the icth. Sho will leave here about a week later for London. DARTFOBD SAILS FOR WELLINGTON. The ship Dartford, whioh was recently purohasod In Sydney for use as a training ship by the Union Company, left Newcastle on Friday, coal-laden for Wellington. THE NEW ISLAND TRADER. The Union Company’s new steamer Tofua, specially built for tho South Sea Islands trade, is exacted to bo ready to loavo for New Zealand about tbo middle of this month. Sho will load general cargo at United Kingdom ports for South Africa, and will ship passengers there for Australia and New Zealand. Tho Tofua will be due in Sydney early in June, and will tranship her New Zealand passengers and take up her island running from Sydney shortly after arrival. ORANGE BRANCH LEAVES SYDNEY. Tho local office of tho New Zealand Shipping Company is advised that, the turret-deck steamer Orange Branch leit Sydney on Thursday for Auckland. Tho vessel is bringing a cargo of hardwood for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Fort Chalmers and Bluff. Tho New Zealand Shipping Company are the local agents. MORAYSHIRE LEAVES CAPETOWN. Tho Now Zealand and African Shipping Company has been advised that tho Federal-Houlder-Shiro liner Morayshire, which loft Liverpool on March /tli for Auckland tuld Wellington, via Melbourne and Sydney, resumed her voyage trorn Capetown last Wednesday. The vessel is bringing 78 passengers for Now Zealand, 21 for Auckland, 23 for Wellington, 21 for Lyttelton, mid 10 for Dunedin.
