In the House of Commons Mr Winston Churchill, 'PaTliamentary Undersecretary to the Colonial Office, stated that the Transvaal Government had asked the British Government to ascertain whether France would sanction the recruiting of Madagascar natives for employment in the Rand mines. It haa bam frequently stated during the past few months that ample native labour was available for mine work, so that the cabled Information is inexplicable. /
