ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Wellington District Branch of the Ancient Order of Foresters will take plaice to-day. The nominations ot officers of the branch for the following year are as follows: —District Chief Ean-ger, Bro. C. Lusty, of Court 7314; District Sub-Chief Hanger, Bro. A. Colquhoun, of Court 4428; District Secretary, Bro. A. Whiteford, of Court 4428; District Treasurer, Bro. H. Birch, of Court 5084; District Senior Woodward, Bro. W. lessen, of Court 7507; District Junior Woodward, Bro. H. Shopcott, of Court 5501; District Auditor, Bro. B. Bell, of Court. 7609; District Senior Beadle, Bro. W. L. Smith, of Court 7314; District Junior Beadles, Bros. E. H. llarlen (Court 3118), K. Griffiths (Court 5084), W. A. Worth (Court 5084), C. T. Hooking (Court 5655), W. S. Smith (Court 7314), E. Mowbray (Court 7609), A. J. Hobbs (Court 7879). The report of the district officers seta out the following . upon a . suggestion made at the last triennial meeting. Court 3118 has cancel led its registration as a society separate from the general body of the order, and has been registered as . a branch of tho Wellington district. A court. has .recently been formed at Northland.

The report goes on to eay that the financial position of the district is still very satisfactory. The funeral fund, after paying death claims amounting to £1485, has made an increase of £7 £2.2 s lid, carrying forward a balance of <£13,762 15s Bd. The management fund, after paying all expenses of management* including the cost of the triennial meeting, Ims decreased <£7o 9s lid, carrying forward a balance of £527 5s £d. The total amount of the district funds is £14,909 Is 4d. The accumulated funds of the juvenile branches ore £603 10s, lid. Those of the adult branches are £57,907 10s lOd. The whole combined make the funds of the distinct and branches £73,420 14s 7d, being an ihcrease for the year of £2930 7s BcL During the year £3873 was paid to members for sickness, £4026 for medical attendance, and £1485 for death claims, making a total of £9381 distributed in benefits, within the district. The number of members upon the register is 4244. The number who joined during the ye»ar was 610, the number who left 408. leaving an increase of 202. The number of deaths has been 49, being 26 members, 22 wives of members, and 1 widow. The sum of .£42 Os lOd was collected and sent to the Jamaica district A.0.F., to aid brethren who had suffered by tn© earthquake. - The executive -records its_ thanks to the district trustees lor their continued and untiring zeal in the investment ,of the funds placed'at their disposal* they having at present £12,845 invested in freehold security and a further investment of £BSO in oounse of completion, all bearing interest at an average of hf per cent.
