A representative and largely attended meeting, called by the county chairman, passed strong resolutions condemning the slow progress made by the Government in connection with the Koefcon-Westport railway, considering the rich country and tho auriferous belt passed through; calling on tho Westport bodies to support more strenuous etiorta to push on the railway; also, calling on the Government to complete tho Aiaruia traffic road to the xxot aprlnga, thus giving access to n great sanatorium ou tho 'West Coast, opening up au amii'eioua and open pastoral land and providing communication between the Last and th© ,»est uoasts.
