RIFLE-SHOOTING
Members of tho Permanent Force .Rifle Club engaged in a Christmas competition on Wednesday afternoon, when there wero thirty-six men firing.' Tho ■natch was fired under service conditions at 200 and oflfl yards. A heavy wind made good shooting a matter of great difficulty, and the principal prizes fell to handicap men, only one from scratch getting into the list. Prizes were donated by the Wellington Woollen Company, the International Clothing Company. the Hat Box. and Messrs O'Brien and H., Ready. Cash prizes were also fired for. The prize-takers were as follows -
