HARBOUR BOARD

The monthly meeting of tho Wellington Harbour Board was held yesterday. There were present—The Hon. T. K, Macdonald (chairman), and Messrs Jr. H, Fraser, H. Beauchamp, C. E, Daniell, G. Shirtcliffc, and U. Fletcher.

A letter was read from the Marine Department, notifying the reappointment of Messrs Macuonaki, Fraser, and Wilfofd as members of the Board.

I Tho report of the Wharves and Ao- ’ counts Committee, as follows, was approved ; —To call for tenders closing at the Alarcb meeting, for 190 tons of hoop steel and for 2J tons of studs; to ac- ■ cede to the request of Air 0. H. Izard that his partner, Mr T. S. Weston, may bo joined with him as tho solicitors to the Board; to affix the seal of the Board to a lease from the Government of t-ne sites' of the low-lcvcl light and oi.-store at Pcncarrow for a term of twenty-one years at one shilling per annum rental; to reply to the Harbours’ Association that the Board do not think it necessary to convene a meet ng of the association this year, and that the existing executive should remain in office until the next meeting of the association.
