A BUOYANT REVENUE. HIGHLY SATISFACTORY RESULTS. Interviewed last night by a ‘‘ New Zealand Times ” representative, Bir Joseph Ward furnished some interest-, jng figures regarding the colony’s revenue for the six-monthly period ending last month. These show tho following receipts at September 30th, 1906, and 1903: 1906. 1905. The buoyancy of tho revenue is, to my mind, marvellous. Each your we think that we .have got to tho top, only to find that (u succeeding months the revenue stiff keeps on increasing. “ If wo go on anything approaching the same results, it is quite evident that at tho end of the financial year the colony will again ho in a highly satisfactory position to meet tho many useful calls in connection with the public services and undertakings that are *o necessary for tho State’s development.”
