AMBULANCE WORK.
PRACTICAL AID. At the seventh annual meeting of the Wellington division of the St. John Ambulance Brigade (an offshoot from the association) vim report stated that the thanks of the brigade were again due to Dr Gibbs for Ills regular attendance and valuable instruction to the brigade. The finances of the corps show a credit balance of £4 13s sd. Although the attendance of members at practices had not been 'all that was anticipated, the committee hope that during the coming year members will show a livelier interest in the objects of the brigade by attending the meetings.—The report was adopted.
Mr C. Powles was elected a life member ofThe brigade, and Air J. Cable was appointed Inspector of stores vice Mr Koilestou. A donation from the funds was made to Major G. Barclay, AssistantCommissioner tor the Brigade in New Zealand, for administrative expenses. It was decided to enter a team for the brigade event in the Palmerston North Military Tournament, on November 9th. During the evening the members present had the pleasure of listening to an address given by Dr Gibbs, who talked interestingly and instructively on fractures, the circulation of the blood, and the application of first aid. ■
