THE ATTITUDE OP AUSTRALIA. LONDON, August 24. ' The “Daily Chronicle” deprecates the tendency in seme circles in Australia to denounce as doctrinaire the Imperial principle of naval strategy; but considers the Imperial Defence Committee should make due allowance for local susceptibilities. The “Chronicle" counsels moderation and conciliation.
