DIVERGENT ESTIMATES. TOKIO, October 30. Russian lists revealed that there were only 976 Japanese prisoners in Russia. It Iras now been ascertained that the correct number is 1978, and the discovery has caused much, indignation throughout Japan. The number of Russian prisoners taken by the Japanese during the late war is about eighty thousand.
