MINING.
FBESS ASSOCIATION. REEFTON, October 26. Big River mine manager reports:—During the week I have connected the leading stope with the rise. The reef in the back of the stope is now twenty inches wide and 28 feet long, and looks like widening. There is also a fair drop of water coming from it and the stone carries fair gold. In the stopes over the intermediate level eighteen feet of atoning has been done. The reef is broken and mullocky but the quality is’ good . itty tons of stone has been broken.
