■ NEW ZEALAND. (Received Mav 25, 1.7 a.m.) SYDNEY, May 24.

Sir John See, who returned by tho Waikaro to-day from a trip to New Zealand, expressed admiration of tho prosperous condition of that colony. He was struck with tho spread of closer settlement throughout the country, and tho rapid progress of tho cities. He knows of no place where a tourist can spend a holiday to greater enjoyment and advantage to health. It is a veritable wonderland.
