TREATMENT OF NATIVES.

DR ROTH’S REVELATIONS. (Received April 13, 10.2 p.m.) LONDON, April 13. A letter from Lord Tennyson (ex-Governor-General of Australia) was read at the annual meeting of the Aborigines’ Protection Society. Lord Tennyson states in his letter that he is appalled at tile revelations made in the report recently presented to the West Australian Government by Dr Roth, who was appointed to investigate the treatment of aborigines in that colony. Lord Tennyson expresses the hop© that the revelations will lead to the adoption by West Australia of a comprehensive policy for stamping out the abominable iniquities which are evidently flagrant there. The society passed a resolution insisting on equitable’legislation regarding natives in British possessions.
