Dalgety and Co., Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London office, dated the stli Inst.: — “Since bur last telegram (29th March), price of tallow in general is unchanged. Poor demand for prime mutton tallow.” Tlio following messages came to hand yesterday, dated London, April 6th: —

Prime, quality civ Zealand mutton (Canterbury)—Crossbred wethers and maiden eaves, f.a.q., 3|d to 4Jd per lb. Australian mutton, crossbred and merino wethers, light-w-aights, under 60i'h, 3d to 3Jd. New Zealand- crossbred frozen lamb lower by id to id per lb. Prime Canterbury, 321 bto 401 b, s|d to SJd; North Island, 5Jd to sJ<l. Australian, lamb, prime, 321 bto 401 b, 4|d to 4|d per lb." “Danish butter— Since our last telegram (30th March), prices are lower by four kroner (about 4-3 sd) per cwt.” “Since our last telegram, prices for merino and fine crossbred sheepskins are higher by id lb. Coarse - crossbred —Prices are lower by id.” , ' . ,

There was good competition, and prices /were about on a; par with last sale’s rates. / Our next sale'-will'be held'on' Friday, 28th instant! We quote:—Sheepskins—Halfbred and merino, none offered; crossbred, GJd to 7d; lambs’, Gd to 7id; short-woollod crossbred, 5Jd to Oidys.dead, 5d to Gd; inferior arid broken, 4d to ,od - green skins, 2s to 4s 3d. -Wool—Coarse crossbred, Gd to Gijd ; crutchings, 4<l to 43d; pieces, 3Jd to 4Jd. Hides—Heavy ox, 23s to 27s Od; light, ; 18s to 21s; cow, heavy, 18r> to IS>5 ; light, 7s Gd to XGs Gd;. calf, Is to 3s Gd each. ;
Levin and Co., Ltd., report: : —We offered 25 bales of 'wool, 2400 skins, 250 hides, and a quantity of tallow. There was’ no change in the’ price for wool, and skins sold at recent rates. We quote:—Merinos, 6-Jd to 7jd; lialfbreds, 7d to 7(d; fine crossbreds, 7d to 7jd; coarse crossbreds, 6|d to 7d; dead, sd, to sjd; short wools, sjd to 6Jd; lamb skins, Gjd to 7fd; lamb skins, green, to, 3s ; pelts, 4s. ; Tallow—ln casks ,17s 9d, tins IGs: rough fat, 14s. Hides are steady. .'. We (quote:—Cow, light 12s to 16s, medium 16s to 18s. hoary to 20s; ox, light 16s to 225, medium 22s' to 20s 6d. Owing to Easter intervening, the next sals will not be Held until April 2Sth.
