RECEPTION IN FRANCE, INTERVIEW WITH M. LOUBET. (Received April 7, 10-20 p.m.) PARIS, April 7. King Edward, who is on his way to join Queen Alexandra at M arseilles, was mot by President Doubo'l at Pierrofitto, a suburb of Paris. Lord Salisbury, Minister in attendance, was present. Tho public outside tho. precincts of tho station cheered the Republic, President Loubct, and King Edward with enthusiasm. Only, a few personages were on tho platform, and every arrangement was made to ensure privacy. There was a similar scene of enthusiasm on the part of the public when tho King took his leave. It is scmi-ofiicially stated at Paris that it is natural to suppose that King Edward and President Loubet exchanged views on all current diplomatic questions, hut tho public should beware that more or loss ingenious versions are likely to be circulated on the subject. It was noticed that tho interview was characterised not only by less reserve, hut by more confidence and unrestraint than were shown at previous meetings.
