Reynolds v. the Nelson Harbour Board, the plaintiff having obtained leave to appeal to the Privy Council, from the unanimous judgment of tho Court of Appeal, it is announced that plaintiff, after communicating with England, offered to accept .12.10 being one half tho sum offered him before tho trial in settlement of his original demand for over JB4OOO. Tho Board has agreed to pay this amount, and the total sum to be paid to plaintiff amounts to X 550, from which .£3OO will bo deducted for tho Board’s costs. At the meeting of the Harbour Board to-day, the chairman (Mr Graham) referred to the recent action brought by Hr Leslie Reynolds against the Board. It was resolved to pay Mr Reynolds .£250 in complete settlement, each party paying it» own costs
