LUGGAGE ON TRAMS.

(To the Editor *'N,Z. Times/') Sir, —I believe the Mayor and councillors of Wellington made a rule that jmssengers by the electric cars were not allowed lo take., travelling trunks, portmanteaux, etc. on the cars. I see that rule is often broken on the Island Bay section at any rate. I hope the councillors will put a stop as it is not fair to expressmen, from whom the City Council take a guinea a year for their licence, and then they unfairly compete against rhem to some extent.—l am, etc., September 2.
