The Emperor of Austria lias accepted tho renunciation by tho Archduke Leopold Ferdinand, brother of tho Crown Princess Loui.so of Saxony, of his family rights, on condition that tho Archduke should not return. Tho Archduko, prior to Princess Louise’s flight, fought a duel with her husband. The latter was wounded in one of his thiglis. (Received December 27, 0.50 a.m.) LONDON, December 2G. Princess Louise announces that she is seeking a divorce from her husband, and that she will not return to Germany or Austria. Sho declares that it sho returned sho would ho pronounced to bo insane, and would be confined in an asylum. She considers it to be fortunate that tho laws of Switzerland protect her. (Received December 27, 1.37 a.m.) LONDON, December 2G. Tho " Daily Mail ” states that the Pope recommends that Princess Louise of Saxony should enter a convent, pending his effecting a reconciliation.
The other day it was announced that tho Princess Louiso ran away on account of her husband’s alleged-intrigues with an actress. Hor brother Leopold, sympathising with tho Princess, accompanied hor, talking with him a lady ho intends to marry against tho wishes of his family. Tho runaway party was also joined by the family tutor, M. Giron, with whom a relationship is hinted at on tho part of the Crown Princess.
