The one-act • comedietta, ‘"The Grey Parrot,” which is put on as a curtainraiser to ‘‘The Wrong Mr Wright,"; by the Willoughby-Geach Company, is said to be genuinely funny, and affords amfh scope for some capable acting. The bird mentioned is given by a jealous sailor to his wife who tells her it is a magic bird, and will reveal to him all she does when he is absent. Naturally distressed, the lady is opportunely visited by a chum tf her husband’s, who, in order to carry out a scheme that is formed, tells her some of her husband’s escapades- These she repeats to her husband as having heard them from the parrot, and her plan to get rid of the bird is quits suet cessful. ' ' Mr George Muegrove’s opinion of Mrs Madeleine Lucett© Bylaws successful comedy, "Slice and Men”: —"lt is the finest comedy X have seen for 20 years; I sit it out every night, and every night I see new features in it. I have never seen such a carefully thought out piece ,in my life.’*- ' ■
