"The Messenger Boy/' as played by the Pollard Opera Company, ran for eleven nights at the Auckland Opera House. Several members of the "Williamson Musical Comedy Company had a thrilling experience on board the. yacht Zona in Sydney Harbour on a recent Sunday. The party consisted of Mr and Mrs Graham and son. and Messrs Mullarkey and Needham. The yacht had reached Taylor Bay and dropped anchor. "While the party -were having lunch a strong southeasterly sprang up, and the yacht began to drag her anchor. None of the party ■were able to manage the boat, -which drifted perilously near to the rocks. The position -was one of great danger, when Mr Stanley Stevens, of the Prince Alfred Yacht Club, dived from the shore through the surf and clambered on board. It was not till after an hour's fighting with the gale that the boat was got into safety.
