OBITUARY.
THE BISHOP OF GOULBURN. (Received November 14, 0.19 a.m.) SYDNEY, November 13. The death was unexpectedly announced to-day of the Rev Dr Chalmers, Bishop of Goulburn, aged sixty-eight years. At the end of last month, after conducting sendee at Tamut, Dr Chalmers fell down some steps, and injured one of his legs, the knee-cap being displaced. He was removed to a private hospital in Sydney, aud was understood to he making favourable progress towards recovery. LADY CAREW. (Received November 13, 10.53 p.m.) LONDON, November 13. The death is announced of the Dowager Lady Carow, at the ago of 104. Lady Oarew was present at the historical ball given at Brussels by the Duchess'of Richmond on th e eve of the battle of Waterloo. She was a daughter of Major Anthony Cliffo, and married in 1816 the first Baron Carew, who died in 1856.
