The Cricket Association, at a speejal meeting to-night, resolved to refuse to recognise Maclaren’s claim to appoint one of the umpires in the matches with the English team played in New South AYales. The Combined Drapers’ first; two batsmen put up the required number of runs with, emt losing thejr wickets—Dixon 55, and Clnter 35.
The decision of the Third-class Committee in regard to the Phoenix-Midland match will be considered at a speoal meeting of the Wellington Cricket Assooation on Monday evening.
