MEETINGS.

The meeting of the Eighty Club, which was to have been held last evening, has been postponed to next Monday. A meeting in connection with the days of universal prayer for Sunday schools was held in the Dixon street chapel last night. Mr Bardsley, president of the Sunday School Union, presided, aid nearly all the city and suburban schools were well represented. The Rev B. L. Thomas and Mr G. Tiller gave addresses. The annual general meeting of the JN ational Fire and Marine Insurance Company of New Zealand will be held at Dunedin on Thursday. November 14th. A public meeting will be held at the Temperance Hall; Retime, to morrow even, ing under the auspices of I the Retono branch of the New Zealand Socialist party.
