Wednesday. 4 p.m. Shearing is now in full swing in the district, and all the unemployed-are leaving the towns and flocking to the stations, where there is plenty of work. The vestry of 5 St. Luke’s Church has just purchased an organ at a cost of £IOO from the Dresden Company. . The instru ment is expected to arrive next week. The whole of the money was subscribed hv the church people and their friends. 1 To-morrow evening a dedication festival 'is to be held in St. Luke's Church.. The combined choirs of Masterton and Grey town will take, the musical part of the service., .Five ministers are to assist, in the service, apd the sermon will be preached by the Ttev J. D. Bussell, of Be tone. The Lawn Tennig Club will open its season next week. The cricket championship matches of +he Wairarapa commence on Saturday. The competitors are Featherston, Carterton and Greytown (two teams).
