EKETAHUNA.

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) Saturday, 4.5 p.m. No trace of the missing man Corrigan has yet been discovered, and the search parties have given up hope. The reason for his sudden disappearance is a mystery. ' ■ A special meeting of, the Eketahuna County Council is to be held on Monday to discuss the Counties Bill and give the delegate to the Conference instructions. An inspection of buildings was made yesterday by Dr Valintine, District Officer, with the result that several were condemned. The County Council is, however, unable to comply with the demand, as the Health Act does not giv e power to demolish such buildings. Under the new Counties Bill the same power is extended to County Councils in this direction as is enjoyed by boroughs. Until that Bill is passed nothing can b e done.
