PRESS ASSOCIATION. WANGAIN yi, June 14. The Supreme Court criminal sessions concluded today. Thomas Spalding, for common assault on a young woman, was sentenced to four months’ imprisonment. George Shannahan alias Shannon, for a brutal assault on an elderly woman, was sentenced to eight years’ hard labour, and William Drummond Smith, charged with arson, to two and a half years’ hard labour.
