Sir Robert Hart, Director of the Chinese Imperial Alaritim© Customs, has forwarded io the Foreign Alinisters at Pekin a strong protest against the seizure by the representatives of Austria, France, Germany and Italy of the Maritime Customs at Pekin, which he claims as virtually his own property.
