THE MAPOURIKA.

SUCCESSFULLY FLOATED. The Union Company’s steamer Alapourika, which struck on Mabel Island, Picton Harbour, on Thursday morning, was successfully rc-floatod at’ 9 o’clock, last night. The Rotomahana went over to Picton yesterday afternoon, the intention being that she should attempt to tow the stranded vessel into deep water this morning. Presumably the work of lifting tho. forward part of the Mapourika had been advanced sufficiently to permit the work of re-launching being proceeded with at once. Tho Mapourika leaves Picton at daylight this morning for Wellington.
