David Pinkerton, M.L.C., Air Arthur Alorrison, M.H.R., and Air William Hutchison have been appointed members ot the board for tho purposes of tho Kaitangata. Relief Fund Transfer Act. Afessrs L. W. Air Allan Gilniour, of Raglan, has been authorised to act as an interpreter under the Native Lands Court Act, 1894. Katherine Kinross Kerr has been appointed a clerical cadetto and Patrick James Herlihy a cadet in tho Department of Lands and Survey. Air George Riddell, J.P., has boon appointed a member of the Waitara Harbupr Board, in place of S. R. Fairweather, resigned. Tho'issue of twelve letters of naturalisation is notified. Among tho recipients are the following:—James Foss, farmer, Taihape; J. D. A. Pescini, domestic duties, Lower Hutt; and Thomas Pescini, gardener, Lower Hutt. Additional regulations have' boon made in regard to the nomination ot exports to sjt as assessors with the members of Conciliation Boards or the Arbitration. Court. ■ A whrranf has been issued 'authorising .the Lake County Council to construct a bridge over the Shot-over river, near Skipper’s Point, and apportioning its cost, less any contribution, provided oy the Government, between the Lake County Council, the-Queenstown'Bor-ough Council and tho Arrowtbwn Borough Council. Tho; Rev. John Southern, Primitive Alethpdist connexion, is.gazetted as an officiating minister under the Marriage Act. An agency of the Government Life Insurance Department has been opened at Waitckauri. Air Cyril E. Gudgeon has been appointed agent of tho Public Trustee at Queenstown. Air Carlton Kain has been granted a certificate of competency as a duly authorised surveyor. Tho teachers certificate under the - Education Act issued to James Victor has beep cancelled. Section No. 4, Block VI.. Alangawhero survey distinct, and Section No. 27, Block XI., Hantapu survey district, both in the land district of Wellington, have been declared State forests. Authority has been given for tho mortgaging of the land known as Kai Iwi No. 6c No 1 to the Government Advances to Settlers Office.
