June. 20. .Tim question of the adoption of Imperial Renders in schools was discussed by the Education Board to-day, several committees having written objecting. Inspector, Goyen also wrote that he received a. small royalty on the readers sold outside Otago, but not •on those sold in the province.- A motion that it is not desirable inspectors should have a royalty von - readers Isold outside school districts was lost by five votes to two. It was resolved, “That the objectors be informed that the- newly authorised boohs have' been finally adopted by the Board.”
