It now ‘ r::aspires that Mr Van Leouvt n, unr of i lie Judges of tlio Tninsviuil Supremo ~»urt, took Lord Roberts’s a.ssuranws to President Kruger, that lie would mot bo exiled if ho surrendered. The President -was asleep in the train which serves as his headquarters when the Judge, arrived. Dr Reitz, State Secretary, ■ received the message in regard to too incident, but it is believed that he suppressed it.
